FIRST post, Coming up on end of Build Season

I'm reflecting on the build and how it has gone so far for my first blog post.  It is interesting to see other shooters that are appearing on Chief Delphi and think about how we are doing with ours.  For example, here and here is another inline shooter, described as a rail gun (probably not the best choice of names considering the fact that it is not accelerated with electromagnetism).  I'm anxious at this point to see ours attached to the robot and being the drive motor controlled with the victor 888.  This should make the programming and troubleshooting process much easier and decrease the possibility of destroying the shooter in the process.
